Coming up on the heels of the rockin-ness of the last ANDC, Laura and I are bringing it back with another intimate booty shaker at the Orange Room.

The January 2009 rhythym society FNG (friday night gathering, for the uninitiated) is going down on friday jan 23rd and will feature rockin melodic beats provided by community talent in the same cozy, comfortable, yet immanently danceable warehouse as the previous installments in October and November of 2008.

DJ sound support is as follows:

I will be throwing down some more blissfully banging beats in the realm of prog, house & breaks!

I am still reeling from the high of playing for Transit this last November in Tokyo.
Amazing vibes, and good people.

And now for something completely different!
I am going to be playing for the upcoming Rhythm Society gathering on the 19th of this month, but in the dark themed room – called the Dark Forest.
This means that instead of my usual blend of both melodic and dark tunes I will be focusing on the darkness, and rocking out with the devil =). I have been going nuts collecting some ripping nu skool breaks to play alongside dark tech trance and prog, and even a touch of psy. Pretty different than my usual number, but should be an amazing journey through shadowy lands.
I have been loving the cold inferno of the huge burning basslines in the songs I have been collecting and am looking forward to unleashing them next Friday.
Think zombie hoards, vampire covens, etc.

こんなにダークな感じでマワせたのは久しぶりです。
普段ならメロディーのあるものとダークな力の持つ激しいものを混ぜ合わせるのが我流ですが、イベントのテーマ（影の世界）に沿って今度は後方のサウンドの方に焦点を当てて爆発しそうなブレークスを中心にしたプレイを提供します。それに加えてダークな感じのあるトランス、サイ、プログレをもマワすので、夜の化け物にぴったりのサウンドになりそう。
踊りまくる吸血鬼になった気分で盛り上がろう…お楽しみに！

I’m honored to be playing at an event here in Shibuya with some killer cool people at what looks to be a pretty badass space!

I will be playing a main guest slot from 2:20am-3:30am, and throwing down some appropriately bangin progressive house!

11/23 is a Sunday, but since Monday of that week is a holiday out here, the party itself will be rocking from 10pm all the way to 5am!

Lovefest was incredible.

The vibe on our float was unbeatable and irresitible, from the moment we left the garage at East West floats (our designer) on Saturday morning.

Nothing but positive energy all day, and for the float team to see our vision come to life in such a grandiose and beautiful way was better than we could have ever even dreamed of!

There was an palpable electric energy emanating from all of us all day, especially all of our djs. We were all ON. Our sets rocked both the people on the float and on the ground, and holy crap, there is nothing like a crowd of thousands of people feeling every bit of energy your system is pumping out at them and responding as one to all of the moves you make mixing.

THIS is why we dj.

after getting a couple of good comments, I’m posting a mix I just put together as a showcase for Track Finder of mixing on key.

I think it shows off some cool sounds you can get from using this mixing technique…which has become essential to me of late. No question, it really makes a difference.

For those who are interested, the mix starts in 6A and moves on through 7A to wind up in 8A when it gets to the Sander track.
